About the Plan

Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG), serving as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the region, is launching an update to the Regional Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).

The LRTP is a long-range transportation planning document that guides investment and decision-making for the region's transportation network over a 20-year horizon. It serves as the foundation for how federal, state, and local transportation dollars are prioritized and spent across our region.

This update will help shape the future of transportation for residents, businesses, and communities across Elkhart, St. Joseph, Marshall, and Kosciusko Counties in Indiana; covering roads, bridges, public transit, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, freight, and more.

  • The MACOG Region

The Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG) Region is made up of four north central Indiana Counties: Elkhart, St. Joseph, Marshall, and Kosciusko Counties
